Safe and Legal Collection and Disposal of Glass Materials
It stands to reason that you cannot simply throw glass in the bin. Glass is sharp, breaks into splinters easily and is a significant hazard as well as being a risk to health. If you’ve ever cut yourself on glass, you will know that it acts like a razor and is dangerous to handle.
Safety First!
If you’re dealing with a substantial glass breakage, for example after a burglary or ram raid then you will need to have appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) such as masks, gloves and overalls to handle the job.
