Mould Remediation Removal Restoration Services
Where there’s mould, there’s moisture so the old saying goes. If you are having issues with mould growth then the underlying issue causing the mould to flourish is associated with moisture or damp.
Before carrying out any work on mould removal, it’s important to make sure that the whole area affected is dried out thoroughly and any underlying causational issues are deal with effectively.
Drying the mould affected area and finding the root cause
It’s of little use to simply dry out an area of a building if the root cause is water ingress from leaks, water penetration and the like. If water is entering a building then that needs to be the first thing to be sorted out.
Our team of trained mould remediation specialists will find out the root cause of the mould growth first. Whether that’s condensation, poor ventilation, damp course issues, roof or other leaks or any of a myriad of other causes then we will investigate and find a solution. When the root cause or causes are established then we can either solve the issue ourselves or call in one of our specialist partner teams to help.
Once the underlying cause is dealt with then we will get to work to thoroughly dry out the affected area.
Drying Out the Mould Affected Area
Once we have surveyed the area and identified then rectified the source of the mould then we can work on thoroughly drying out the area. This prevents further mould growth and also has the effect of protecting property from further damage. Mould spores are present in the atmosphere all the time but we cannot see them. Drying out the area prevents mould colonisation and growth which will start to happen within only 8 hours if the area is left with added moisture.
We use industrial grade drying equipment such as industrial dehumidifiers to thoroughly dry out the immediate area. It’s staggering just how much water is present around us and we thoroughly dry out the affected areas before the final mould remediation work is carried out.
Mould Remediation
Once the area is thoroughly dried out then we carry out thorough mould remediation using HEPA filtration equipment at negative air pressure. This is the most effective method of carrying out mould remediation as it prevents the spread of particles and in particular mould spores around the property and affecting other areas of the property.
